Hello there!

Growing up on the Texas coast gave me a deep love of seafood, swimming, sunshine and the phrase "yall". When I'm not designing I can be found planning/hosting parties (baby showers/reveals to friends-giving and everything in-between), crafting projects, cooking, listening to audible while swimming, or spoiling my crazy awesome little sister.

I can clearly remember being inspired by a Stripes billboard and telling my mother as craned my neck to keep looking at it "Mom, I'm going to make billboards." I maintained that mindset until I discovered a passion for technology and helping people through design.

I am currently helping Care Managers through my work at athenahealth where I thoroughly enjoy the inception of helping people who help people.

My toolkit includes:

Sketch for everything. I created the sketch library for my entire product in IBM Watson Education.
Invision for prototyping everything my heart desires, made easier with Craft.
Principle for detailed prototyping.
Abstract for file management (my team is currently in the process of adopting abstract so we are still learning)
GitHub for detailed, design driven acceptance criteria, cross team communication, tracking and development.
Jira for issue tracking and development.
Confluence for documentation.
InDesign for laying out and printing designs with a plotter so that the team could dissect and perfect designs together.
Adobe Illustrator for the wonderful birthday desks and more you can see in my Passions.

Design Thinking Activities such as Questions & Assumptions, Empathy Mapping, As-Is/To-Be Scenarios, Needs Statements, Big Ideas, Storyboarding, and Skits to name a few, are facilitated and used often on IBM Watson Education and beyond.
Experience Research on UX patterns, cross-industry research & cross-competitor research has been prevalent throughout my career.
Information Architecture can be seen in my work at MVNP, but I also created and kept our site map up to date on IBM Watson Education.

Previously, I've worked with:
Axure at AT&T and Tekzenit for wire-framing and prototyping.
Photoshop was used back in my photography days at Texas State University (since then I've switched to Lightroom).
