The mission of the Legal team is to protect Google users’ privacy and data. My work serves and is built alongside many internal and external users within the Legal space. The following bullets are intentionally vague and do not encompass all impact.

  • Create workflows that allow non-Google users to receive data and appeal communications

athenahealth / Consumer Health / UX Lead

October 2020 - April 2021,  Austin, TX

2020: The sole designer on 2 unrelated product scrum teams of the calendar year. Simultaneously responsible for designing, researching, and implementation of:

  • Front Desk Calendar: Onboarded mid-sprint halfway through the release and effectively delivered against existing design plans while looking forward with the product and engineering teams to design, test, and plan the entire next release and future vision.

  • Telehealth Scheduling: Hand-selected for the COVID-19 response team to design and deliver an online scheduling experience for telehealth appointments in 2 sprints.

2019: Designed and implemented Patient Scheduling, a micro-service which enables unauthenticated patients to book appointments online.

  • Reduced the number of ways patients could schedule through athenahealth from 3 to 1 after embedding the experience into an existing workflow for authenticated patients.

Jennifer is an incredible designer, thinker, problem-solver, and human. I have truly never seen somebody so dedicated to a product from beginning to end. Jennifer constantly has the user at the top of her mind and continually innovates ways to make the user’s life easier. Her dedication is manifested by her initiative to lead design discussions, ask for feedback, collaborate with the entire team (from backend development to visual design), and craft solutions that are not only brilliant, but also containable.

She stays dedicated to the very end. When she moved on from IBM, she made sure to put together a deck for her replacement that gave in-depth details about the product, team culture, who to go to for questions, and reasons for why design decisions were made. She was adamant about leaving the team in the healthiest possible place upon her departure. This speaks volumes about her as not only an employee, but also as a person. She is always there for teammates, in every sense of the word. Any team is incredibly lucky to have her.
